A little history

The Marrakech Electricity Company was incorporated on June 27, 1922. On July 17, 1964, the city of Marrakech signed a protocol for the purchase of the concession, which was entrusted to the Moroccan Distribution Company (SMD) on December 26, 1970 and following the deliberations of the municipal council of the city of Marrakech, it was decided to create from January 1, 1971, the Autonomous Régie of Distribution of Water and Electricity of Marrakech, called RADEEMA and this under the terms of the Decree n ° 2-64-394 of September 29, 1964 relating to the municipal Régies. On January 1, 1998, RADEEMA took over the management of the liquid sanitation service following deliberations by the urban community of Marrakech. On July 09, 2010, RADEEMA passed to support control in place of prior control in accordance with the provisions of article 18 of law 69.00.
